Red Hot

I have always loved a red front door, and I am happy to report that I finally have one of my own.

Door Before



It was a big change, from the boring white.


After many paint chips, which I looked at from every angle and in every possible light, I decided on Front Door Red by Valspar.  Appropriate...no?

I am very happy with the results, but I must warn you that it took 5 coats to get to this color.  I suppose I could have cleaned the leaves up before I took the after photo, but I was tired after painting all weekend!  How you are injecting red in your life?
