Guest Bathroom Remodel

I was organizing my picture files and found some old pictures of my very first DIY project.  Before I even began this blog, I renovated the guest bathroom.   As you can see from the photos, this is one small bathroom.

Based on the home inspection, it was known before purchase that a portion of the tile in the shower was loose and would have to be replaced.

If you look closely you can see there are two different colors of tiles.  That was the quick temporary patch that was used until the major reno could begin.

I put a yellow check mark on everything that needed to be replaced.  Yup, pretty much the whole darn thing.   Everything except the tub and the drywall.

The same neutral ceramic tile was used in the shower and on the floor.  Keeping the tub was a priority, not only because it would be hard to remove, but also because this is the only tub in the house.  Gotta have a tub for puppy baths!  The old almond colored toilet was replaced with a new, white model.  This new toilet is also smaller and gives a few extra inches, which are appreciated in such a small space.

Here is the most current photo with an updated shower curtain.  The room was feeling a little monotone with all the neutrals, so this shower curtain adds some energy to the space.
